    On a whim I bought a 9444A amp on ebay as I've always liked Altec equipment. The intended use for the amp is driving my in progress HT sub which uses 2 4ohm subs. Sorry to sound ignorant, but it was a quick buy... will this work well?

    The amp will do 300/channel into 4ohms. What are your speakers rated at for power and sensitivity?
